What do you do if your first real love is half a world away? In this charming romantic comedy, an Indian woman studying in Prague and a lonely New Yorker begin an unconventional video correspondence – two strangers searching for human connection in a hyper-connected world. “Hank and Asha” is a hopeful story about identity, longing, and the irresistible appeal of entertaining life’s what-ifs.

This is a wonderful film that has received numerous awards including ‘Best Cinematography’ from the Woods Hole Film Festival as well as three ‘Best Feature’ awards!

Movie Night at the Media Center is a new collaboration with the Woods Hole Film Festival to help bring independent filmmaking to the Cape year round and build on the summer Festival. Now in its 23rd year, the Woods Hole Film Festival supports the work of emerging independent filmmakers and collaborates with organizations Cape-wide to offer additional film programming. The Cape Cod Community Media Center collaboration with the Woods Hole Film Festival offers filmmakers and film fans the opportunity to expand the audience and outreach for independent film on Cape Cod. We hope you will join us for this fantastic new collaboration! This is the first in a new monthly series happening the second Wednesday of each month throughout the Winter, Spring, and Fall. Join us after the screening until 9pm for some Q&A discussions.

***This Q&A discussion maybe be recorded for later broadcast on Channel 99 and YouTube.***

Proceeds go towards Woods Hole Film Festival summer and winter programming as well as Cape Cod Community Media Center to help bring programming like this to surrounding communities.

How Fast is Your Car-d?…If you take pictures or shoot video with a digital camera, or even record audio with a digital recorder, then chances are you have a need for speed! Memory/Media Cards (SD, SDHC, SDXC, CompactFlash) that you use to capture pics, video, or audio with all have a Class rating that indicates the minimum speed at which a media card will record onto the memory inside it. For general purpose picture taking/recording, a rating of 4 is minimum, which is 4MB/s. Ideally, you should choose cards with a rating of Class 10 or higher. This way, it will be fast enough to use for High Definition video, as well as high end camera stills, and audio. The rating is shown as a large letter ‘C’ with a number in the middle of it. Higher end cards use a rating of ‘U’ currently with a ‘1’ or ‘3’ in it. Don’t worry, this will all change in a year or two when bigger and better come around. For now though, watch your speed and drive with a fast Card! For more info, read through this website
