It’s summertime, and that means the Cape Cod Baseball League is back in action! A Cape tradition since its founding in 1885, the league is returning after a respectable 2017 season. Since Opening Night is tomorrow, here are the games, when the first pitch will be, as well as the venue.

  • Brewster at Cotuit: The Whitecaps are the defending champions, after all, and are naturally looking forward to a repeat this year. The first pitch will be at 5:00 at Lowell Park (10 Lowell Avenue, Cotuit).
  • Bourne at Yarmouth-Dennis: Make no mistake, the Red Sox are still a force to be reckoned with, and their three-peat is still fresh on everyone’s minds. Their first pitch will be at 5:00 as well, and at Red Wilson Field behind Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School (210 Station Avenue, South Yarmouth).
  • Falmouth at Hyannis: These two teams have not had the best seasons as of late, but they shouldn’t be underestimated. Their first pitch will be at 6:00, and the game will be at McKeon Park behind Pope John Paul II High School (120 High School Road, Hyannis).
  • Orleans at Harwich: This matchup is very much one where the Cape’s seaside reputation really comes into play. Their first pitch will be at 6:30, and the game will be held at Whitehouse Field behind Harwich High School (75 Oak Street, Harwich).
  • Wareham at Chatham: This is a game where one end of the Cape meets another on the diamond. Their first pitch will be at 7:00, and it will be held at Veterans Field (702 Main Street, Chatham).
