Summer is just around the corner and as things start to heat up along the Cape, an endless variety of fresh produce makes it’s season debut at our local farmers’ markets! From baked goods and savory sweets to fresh vegetables and flavorful fruits, these vendors supply only the best for local residents, and encourage visitors to join in on the festivities. Navigating through all the available market options can be a whirlwind, so here are some of the Cape’s best to check out this year!

The Osterville Farmers’ Market is celebrating their 11th consecutive year by kicking off the 2018 season on Friday, June 22. Local farmers and vendors come together here and offer a wide variety of products to their customers including heirloom vegetables, cheese, steaks, donuts, kettle corn, potted flowers, and much more! The Osterville Farmers’ Market is open every Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and runs until September 14th. To learn more about these upcoming events, visit You won’t want to miss out!

For residents of the Hyannis area, the Mid-Cape Farmers Market opened itself to the community on Wednesday, June 6th, and will continue to welcome customers until the end of October. This market prides itself with its friendly vendors who sell specialty items ranging from handmade soups and jams, to herbs, eggs and poultry. The Mid-Cape Farmers Market events take place on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 468 Main Street.

Looking for a fun summer event that includes live music, outdoor games, and great beer? Cape Cod Beer hosts the Farmers’ Market Meets Happy Hour every Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. where local residents and visitors alike can enjoy a pint from Cape Cod’s best makers and crafters and shop a great selection of local farmers and their fresh produce. Organizers welcome locals to like their Facebook page for consistent updates on the Market’s 2018 events and special offers. Yet another superb option for shoppers in Cape Cod is the Chatham Farmers Market! Located in West Chatham, this organized attraction runs from May to October on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Like their fellow Cape markets, the Bass River Farmer’s Market and Chatham Farmers Market have a variety of locally crafted items and fresh produce to offer anyone and everyone in the area!

Held on the scenic and historic grounds of Brooks Academy Museum, is the Harwich Farmers’ Market, which was described by The Cape Cod Times as “community agriculture at its best”. The wide variety of locally grown produce and other farm products are on display and ready for sale on Thursday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., stretching from mid-June through mid-October. The market offers live music and ensures patrons that their unique location and produce selection makes this a shopping experience not to be missed.

The incoming warm weather and summer festivities welcome the openings of several Cape Cod Farmers’ Markets, while others nearby specialize in the big Fall harvest of the year. The South Yarmouth Fall Market may not open until October, but in the brisk Massachusetts weather, it is an indoor getaway that encompasses the core celebrated qualities of the outdoor summer markets. On Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., this shopping event features the desired farm fresh produce as well as specially crafted items such as natural soaps, jewelry, and even treats for your pets!
