The Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod’s alumni roster reads like a who’s who of Cape Cod leadership – John Allen of the JFK Hyannis Museum (2006), David Augustinho of the Cape and Islands Workforce Investment Board (2002), Mark Ells, Barnstable Town Manager (2002), Alisa Galazzi, Executive Director of the Housing Assistance Corporation (2008), and so many more.

Since 1992, the Community Leadership Institute (CLI) has introduced participants to the topics and leaders affecting the Cape’s future in business, healthcare, politics, social services, and other areas.

And now, the organization has its very first executive director. Bob Cody is an established community leader, serving on the Board of Directors for CLI, Open cape, Cape Cod Technology Council, and the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce.

“Bringing Bob on board as the first Executive Director of CLI will allow us to pursue further ways to work with Alumni, Local Leadership and Future Leaders to strengthen our community,” said CLI board president Marty Bruemmel.

“We look forward to his strategic leadership and direction to fulfill CLI’s objectives, improve and expand programs, and ensure the organization’s financial viability and growth. He’ll play a key role in supporting, creating and implementing program initiatives to ensure the organization’s continued success and the fulfillment of its vision and potential.”

Throughout his career, Bob has a demonstrated record of leadership, problem-solving, organizational development, maximizing individual contributions, and continuous operational improvement. He brings over 25 years of leadership experience in corporate, academic and non-profit organizations.

In positions of vice-president of worldwide research, development and engineering, dean of academic and student affairs, board member and board chair, Cody has led organizations in innovation and growth specializing in developing new programs, products and services, while increasing revenue and organizational growth, leading change management transformations to take those organizations to new levels of performance. He is currently the chief executive partner of Innoreate, a business consulting firm.

CLI is about to begin its next session. 30 Cape Codders are ready to embark on a leadership journey that will take them inside a number of local landmarks and institutions, and get them up close and personal with some of our community’s most influential leaders.

The organization recently held a holiday get-together at CapeAbilities Farm, where alumni mixed and mingled (and shopped!) under the twinkling holiday lights at the Farm.
