Be a Part of HAC’s Shelter Telethon! Camera Volunteers needed for this great event
HAC’s 2015 Shelter Cape Cod Telethon will be held on Wednesday, December 9 from 5-9 pm.
The holiday season is a magical time of year when it seems that most of our problems go away. Only it’s not that way for the homeless.
Last year on Cape Cod, nearly 600 homeless men and women and more than 190 children were sheltered in HAC’s four shelters. While sheltering those in need is our primary goal, over the past year HAC has also provided critical support services to seniors and veterans on fixed incomes; low-income residents looking to purchase their first home; and the working class, juggling two and sometimes three jobs, just to remain in their homes.
The telethon purpose is to raise awareness of the issues facing our homeless population on Cape Cod while raising much-needed funds to help HAC solve these issues.
Please help us find a way to show the true meaning of the holiday season.

Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Starring Neil McGarry December 21, 7:00 pm at the Media Center!
The Bay Colony Shakespeare Company presents a dynamic one-man performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Inventive and entertaining, heart-rending and truly inspiring, this is a holiday classic boldly retold and not to be missed. Directed by Ross MacDonald, “A Christmas Carol” stars Neil McGarry, whose one-man show “Burbage” was hailed by Cape Cod press as “spellbinding” and “a near flawless performance” while his recent “Hamlet” for the Bay Colony Shakespeare was described by audiences as “A stunning production.” Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors & children under 12 with a portion of the Proceeds to the @Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, and are available at the door or in advance at:
