Membership Benefits
A membership in the Cape Cod Community Media Center provides you with the opportunity to learn the art of video production in an atmosphere that is challenging, yet also comfortable and relaxed.
Or, if producing television is not your passion, your membership will support the Media Center's community-based programming. You'll be pleased to know the majority of programs produced at the Media Center serve the unique needs of Cape Codders and benefit the communities in which we live.
The benefits of becoming a member of the Cape Cod Community Media Center also include a subscription to the Media Center newsletter and program guide.
With a membership in the Media Center you have access to video training and tools.
At our South Yarmouth location we offer our members access to digital video cameras, non-linear (computer-based, digital) editing suites, two television studios, DAT recorders, sound mixers, graphics programs, and other top-notch production equipment.
We also offer training courses in studio production, field production, analog and digital editing, and graphics. The Cape Cod Community Media Center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
Membership in the Media Center is open to the residents, organizations and businesses of Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich and Chatham.
We have several membership categories, which range in price from $20 per year for individuals to $100 per year for businesses. The eligibility requirements and benefits for each of our membership categories are listed below.
Individual Membership: $20
Who is Eligible?: Residents of Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich and Chatham.
Benefits: Voting privileges, subscription to the Media Center newsletter/program guide, access to training, production equipment and facilities and channel time.
Associate Membership: $10
Who is Eligible?: Residents of Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich and Chatham.
Benefits: Voting privileges and subscription to Media Center newsletter/program guide.
Organizational Membership: $50 for 3 individuals;
$15 for each additional member
Who is Eligible?: Educational institutions, local governments, health care, social services, arts, environmental, religious, and any other nonprofit organization located in Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich or Chatham.
Benefits: Membership covers three people representing the organization; the three people receive the same benefits as individual members (voting privileges, subscription to the Media Center newsletter/program guide, access to training, production equipment and facilities and channel time). Additional members who join through the organization pay at reduced rate of $15.00 each.
Restrictions: All programs must relate to the organization's purpose.
Business Membership: $100 for 3 individuals;
$15 for each additional member.
Who is Eligible?: Business must be located in Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich or Chatham.
Benefits: Membership covers three people representing the business; the three people receive the same benefits as individual members (voting privileges, subscription to the Media Center newsletter/program guide, access to training, production equipment and facilities and channel time). Additional members who join through the business pay at reduced rate of $15.00 each.
Restrictions: All programs must relate to the business purpose.
