Several groups are coming together Thursday night at 6:30 for a documentary on gun legislation – or the lack thereof.

Making a Killing: Guns, Greed, and the NRA will be presented at the Cape Cinema, with a panel discussion after the screening. And in the words of the description available, it “tells the stories of how guns, and the billions of dollars made off from them, affect the lives of everyday Americans. It features personal stories from people across the country who have been affected by gun violence, including survivors and victims’ families and exposes how the powerful gun companies and the NRA are resisting responsible legislation for the sake of profit — and thereby putting people in danger.” The groups in questions hosting the event include Cape Cod Fellowship of Reconciliation, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Grandmothers Against Gun Violence of CC, and Call To Action CC, and all proceeds from the night will be donated to them.

This is a continuation of the Cape’s portion of the gun control debate, especially in the light of the Parkland massacre and the subsequent March for Our Lives movement formed by the survivors.
