Meet our Board
Marty Bruemmel, President
Marty is an expert at understanding business issues. He has strong interpersonal skills relating with others, business people and their objectives; negotiated with Boards of Directors, employees (both union and non-union), suppliers, vendors, trained in property/casualty insurance licensing as agent/broker in Massachusetts, promotional programs, new business development, promotional plans, store operational requirements.
Marty is a very active Cape Codder! He is General Manager and Buyer at Harney’s Cape Cod Liquor’s here in Dennis. He is involved with many nonprofit organizations.
Amy Dowd, Vice President
Amy Dowd is owner and chief geek of Coastal Marketing Solutions. She has over 25 years of marketing experience on Cape Cod. She provides businesses and non-profits on the Cape with marketing coaching and the ability to assist or fully-manage all of their marketing projects from media buying and management to press releases and management of their Constant Contact email and event marketing. She can also handle most graphic design projects and oversee your WordPress website development and management.
A Bryant University grad, Amy lives and works in Dennis. She is currently a member of ABWA Cape Cod, Cape Cod Chamber, Hyannis Chamber, CCYP, and Cape Cod Landscape Association, Amy is also a 2005 graduate of the Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod where she served on the Board for eight years including a couple of years as Board President.
Sarah Colvin, Clerk
Sarah Colvin Nelson is the News Coordinator for the Town of Barnstable. She is responsible for producing and hosting the Town’s government-access morning news program, presented live every weekday morning on Barnstable Channel 18. She has worked in local news for ten years, and got her start right here on Cape Cod, writing, reporting and anchoring radio newscasts on Ocean 104.7 and 99.9 WQRC. In addition to “Barnstable This Morning”, Sarah also produces and hosts a weekly public affairs radio program for the CodComm cluster of stations and serves as General Manager for Cape Cod Community College’s radio station, 90.7 WKKL. She serves on several local Boards, including Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP), the Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod and the Islands, and Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers. A lifelong Cape Codder, Sarah lives in Hyannis with her husband and three (crazy) dogs.
Rob Thorne, Treasurer
Rob Thorne is recognized as a leading financial coach and educator in the Eastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod area. Rob was raised by a strong-willed mother that always wanted to be financially independent and secure. He admired her goals and it inspired him to pursue his financial career to connect with women and help people achieve their financial dreams. In addition to his 20+ years experience in the financial services industry, he is a founder of Thorne Financial Partners on Cape Cod with a second office in Boston. Rob is a UMASS grad with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration, and he holds the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC).
Rob is a director of the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Cancer Society and a member of Rotary Club International. He has been actively involved in the Barnstable Youth Hockey Association since 2003 as a coach to boys and girls from age 5 to 18. One of his deepest passions is working with young people to help them deal with the challenges of growing up and realize their greatest potential in life. Although he loves hockey, he is committed to helping them develop into well-adjusted adults! Rob resides in Marstons Mills and is a proud father of two teenage boys, and together they share a wide variety of hobbies: Boating, fishing, water sports, and hockey. In his “quiet” time you might find Rob playing the drums, motorcycling or acting in a summer theater comedy.
Christopher Seufert runs Mooncusser Films, LLC on Cape Cod, specializing in both the production and distribution of documentaries, educational films, music video, artist profiles, and corporate / promotional multimedia. The company also provides audio recording/mastering and photography services, including comprehensive location scouting and management.
Tracy E. Shaughnessy is an associate in the Trusts & Estates Department. She works out of the firm’s Hyannis office and focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, guardianship and all aspects of estate and trust administration.
Jerry McMahon is our longest tenured director and has served as the Town of Yarmouth’s representative to the Board since 2004. During that time he has also served as the chairman of the Cable Advisory Committee and was an invaluable asset to the Media Center and his town in the most recent cable license renewal negotiations.
Jerry has also been a valuable volunteer crew member and cameraman on numerous live sporting events such as Dennis Yarmouth High School football and Cape League baseball. He is an ardent supporter of public and government access and has been a long time volunteer with the Yarmouth Police Department.
Jerry lives with his lovely wife in South Yarmouth.
Jamie is a true Cape Codder, born and raised on Cape Cod. Graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth High School and went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Jamie is currently the Station Manager for Harwich Channel 18. She is an avid runner and dog lover.
