“25 Under 25” Fresh, Local, and Sustainable Programming
A collaboration of the Cape Cod Community Media Center, the PLAIN TALK Initiative, the Cape & Islands Workforce Investment Board, and The Cape Cod Foundation

Dennisport— PLAIN TALK is a new initiative whose mission is to improve the lives of young people on Cape Cod by amplifying their voices in the community. On Wednesday, July 9, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, the Cape Cod Community Media Center will co-host the first gathering of young people with an interest in learning more about media production. This TV show is one aspect of PLAIN TALK, which plans to take a multilayered approach to enhancing the experience of being young on Cape Cod by using youth’s ideas to keep them engaged in their community. The workshop is free to all Cape teens in grades 7-12. Free pizza lunch will be included! Or for more information, visit PLAIN TALK online at
The workshop will be the first in a free, three-part series aimed towards creating a youth-produced and featured TV show. Through these workshops, PLAIN TALK and the Cape Cod Community Media Center hope to establish a group of young people that will be part of producing a regular show. Young people will be instrumental throughout the creative process, from conceptualizing the content to final editing. The intention of the TV show is to amplify the voices of young people in the community, as well as to help them develop skills in media production. The Cape Cod Community Media Center is located at 17 Shad Hole Road, Dennisport and can be reached at 508-398-2388 or

The PLAIN TALK Initiative is funded by the Cape Cod Five Foundation and a product of the quARTet Collaboration (The Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Wellfleet Preservation Hall, and the Cape Conservatory of Music and Arts).
