Feeling challenged traveling on and off-Cape while work is done to the Sagamore Bridge? Relief is in sight – at least until the busy summer season begins.

The US Army Corps of Engineers reports that repair work on the Sagamore Bridge is nearing completion, nearly a month ahead of schedule.

Phase Three of work is underway, with contractor R. Zoppo Corporation of Stoughton finalizing the installation of bridge joints and repairing damaged concrete along the sidewalk.

Barring unforeseen complications, the contractor will be off the bridge and have all four travel lanes open no later than Friday, 4 May 2018.

Stay up to date with work on the Sagamore bridge. You can sign up for bridge work alert emails by sending an email to CapeCodCanalBridges@usace.army.mil  with the subject title “Bridge Work Alerts.”  An email alert is sent when there is a major change to the bridge work status or schedule.
