Barnstable Plans Improvements to Town-Owned Recreational Fields
Public Informational Meeting to be held TONIGHT

HYANNIS, MA (September 21, 2016) — Baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, lacrosse, even pickleball – you name a sport, and the Town of Barnstable has a field on which you can play. But some of the Town’s fields and courts have fallen into disrepair, making for some tough playing conditions.

That’s why Barnstable is working on a town-wide Open Space and Recreation Plan, an effort to explore and identify opportunities for improving conditions at the town-owned fields and courts.

You play an important role in this process. Tonight, the Department of Public Works is hosting a public information session that will include a presentation on the project and an opportunity for questions and comments.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 5:30 PM at the Barnstable Senior Center, 825 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Hyannis.

If you cannot attend tonight’s session but would like to learn more and share your feedback, you are invited to take an online survey (click here for the link).
