Our Mission Statement: The Cape Media Center exists to build community through media, enhance democratic communication, and facilitate free expression by providing our five mid-cape towns with a state-of-the-art media resource center.

Learning Objectives: The interns will gain professional, hands-on experience in the field of media production while building a portfolio and learning the essentials of nonprofit organizations. Tasks may include the following:

Pre-production

• Training on studio and field equipment, and learning editing programs

• Learning how to create a shot sheet for future videos and storyboarding

Production

• Assisting on various productions in the studio and in the field

• Creation of original promotional materials for the media center

Outreach/Membership

• Tracking of outreach events; staffing, supplies, metrics, and debriefing 

• Analysis of member database for the purpose of identifying trends in membership, and making suggestions on targets

• Participation in various special projects as needed
