Watch Cape Media Center’s content On-Demand and Live on your OTT (over-the-top) box via ROKU device or AppleTV.

In order to view Cape Media Center’s programming on AppleTV or ROKU, you’ll need to add the Cape Media Center channel app.

 

 { APPLE TV Installation Instructions }
 
  1. You’ll need to be signed into your AppleID account on your Apple TV to access/download the app.
  2. Navigate to the “App Store” on your Apple TV main menu
  3. Select “Search” on the top navigation bar
  4. Search for “Cablecast Screenweave” (You can just start typing “Cablecast” to find it) and
    Select “Cablecast Screenweave” when it appears in your results
  5. Select “Install” on the app store page.
  6. Once its added, Navigate to your Home Screen to launch the application.
  7. On first launch, search and select “Cape Media Center”.
    (stations are listed in order of which is nearest to you based off the Geo location of your IP Address)
  8. Finally, launch the application and it will automatically go into the last station you were watching. To change, select “Select Channel” in the top navigation bar, and enter “Cape Media Center”
 
 
 

{ ROKU installation instructions }

      > This is the recommended way to setup your ROKU device to view Cape Media Center content. Traditional ROKU channel setup is after this section.

  > Roku Installation Instructions

  1. Create or login to your Roku account to access apps

  2. On the main menu, navigate to “Search”

  3. Search for “Cablecast Screenweave” (You can just start typing “Cablecast” to find it)

     

    Select “Cablecast Screenweave” when it appears in your results

  4. Once in the application, select “Add Channel”.

  5. Once its added, Navigate to your Home Screen to launch the application.

  6. Once you launch the application, select the station you want to watch.

     

    These stations are listed in order of which is nearest to you based off the Geo location of your IP Address.

 

 

  > Troubleshooting

  • Q: The station I want to watch is not listed in the channel lineup

     

    A: Theres a few different reasons a station would not show up. If you’re a viewer, please contact your station to see if they participate in the OTT Application.
    If you’re a station manager, Please contact us about your Screenweave channel.

  • Q: Video playback stutters or is unstable

     

    A: If you’re using a device that is connected via WiFi, ensure you have a strong wireless connection. If you continue to have issues and you’re a station operator, please contact support.

 

{ Traditional Channel adding to ROKU }

Note: When you add a channel to your Roku device, you are actually adding it to your Roku account. As a result, the channel will automatically be added to all Roku devices linked to your Roku account. When you remove a channel, the same is true. It will be removed from all Roku devices linked to your Roku account.

 > Installing channels

If you are installing a channel to your Roku device, it will be added to the list of channels under Home on the main screen. Scroll down, it will have been added to the bottom of the list of channels. If you prefer, the channel can be moved higher in the list.

 > Adding channels from the Web

When you are not in front of your Roku device, you can access the Channel Store from your computer or smartphone.

  1. Go to channelstore.roku.com.
  2. Select My account and sign in to your Roku account.

    At the top of the site is a selection of categories and genres to explore. Below that you can enter a keyword in the Search channel box to find choices based on the title of a channel.

  3. When you want to learn more about a channel, select Details. You will see the same synopsis, rating and screenshots that appear when viewing the details on your Roku device.
  4. Follow the instructions to add or purchase the channel.

NOTE: Once added, the channel will not immediately appear on your Roku device. Your Roku device checks every 24 hours for any new channels you have added from the website and automatically installs them. If you would like to download immediately, go to your Roku device and select Settings > System > System update > Check now.

 > Adding channels from the Roku mobile app

If needed, install the Roku mobile app.

  1. Launch the Roku mobile app.
  2. Tap the Channels icon from the navigation bar.
  3. On the Channels tab, select Channel Store from the top menu.
  4. Browse the channel store by category or genre, and select a channel to view more information.
  5. Tap Add channel and follow the instructions to add or purchase the channel.
  6. If you have a Roku account PIN, then you will be required to enter it. If you do not have a PIN and wish to protect against unauthorized purchases, learn how to create a PIN for your Roku account.

Once added, the channel will not immediately appear on your Roku device. Your Roku device checks every 24 hours for any new channels you have added from the website and automatically installs them. If you would like to download immediately, go to your Roku device and select Settings > System > System update > Check now

Android Installation Instructions

  1. You’ll need to be signed into your Android Google Play account to access and download store apps.
  2. At the top of Google Play, Search for “Cablecast”.
  3. Select the Cablecast Logo.
  4. Click “Install”
  5. Once its added, Navigate to your apps directory. It will be on the last page of your directory. From here you can add it to your home screen or click to launch the app.
  6. On each launch, select the station Oxford Cable Access.

iOS Installation Instructions

  1. Navigate to the “App Store” on your Apple device.
  2. Search for “Cablecast”
  3. Select “Install” on the app store page.
  4. Once its added, Navigate to your Home Screen to launch the application.
  5. On first launch, select the station Oxford Cable Access
  6. Next launch of the application will automatically go into the last station you were watching. To change, select “Select Channel” in the top navigation bar.
